Baptism

·       Christian baptism is an outward sign, that I have placed my trust in Jesus Christ; that my sins have been forgiven; and that He is now my Saviour and my Lord.

·       Scripture informs us that the Ordinance of Believers Baptism is by immersion on personal confession of Faith.

·       It is an outward sign of an inward faith

Why should I be Baptised?

·       Because the Lord himself commands it 'Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit'. -Matt. 28: 19 (NIV)

The Lord's Supper

We will be glad to see you, and give you a warm welcome to worship with us.

We meet for this hour initially and specifically to worship and remember the Lord Jesus Christ. Before we take the bread and wine in simple obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ as He commanded, “This do in remembrance of Me", we first have a time of open worship.

During this open time, various men - as they are first led by the Holy Spirit in accordance with God's Word - lead the assembly in worship of the Lord Jesus Christ by reading and/or commenting on Scripture; by giving out a hymn; or by praying. This leading in worship should cause all those meeting, men and women, to focus only on the Lord Jesus Christ - in praise of who He is and in thanksgiving of what He has done.

At an appropriate time, thanks will be given for the bread and it will be served. Then likewise afterwards the wine.

Before anyone takes the bread and wine, the Scripture says they must examine themselves and be sure they understand the symbolism and significance of the emblems. No one should partake of these symbols of the Lord Jesus Christ's body and blood thoughtlessly, carelessly nor irreverently.

Only those who have put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for their salvation should partake. It is also our conviction in the light of scripture, that those who have been born again, by faith in Jesus Christ should desire in obedience to the Lord’s command, partake of Believers Baptism (Matt 28v19).  That if you are amongst us as a regular member and a believer in our assembly, that you are baptised, in love for the Lord (Acts 2v41-42

Should you be amongst us as a visitor, but a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and if you are of “good standing,” in your own fellowship and desire to share the Lord’s Supper with us, please know that our blessings are with you to do so.

If you do not know the Lord Jesus in this personal way, or if you do not understand the significance of these emblems, please do not feel embarrassed, when we share in the bread and wine, to simply let them pass you by.

During our time of worship we will give thanks to the Lord with our offering. If you are not prepared, or don't wish to contribute, simply pass the bag on. Following this time, the weekly announcements will be made and the meeting will continue.

We trust that the Lord Jesus Christ will be exalted and that you will be blessed as a result of your meeting with us.
